  • CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A CSA share is a weekly subscription to a box of farm fresh produce. If you join a CSA you are investing and committing to a farm early in the season (when our bills start but the cash flow is low) and in return you receive a weekly share of the farm’s produce once the crops are ready to harvest.

A CSA is a way for consumers to build a closer relationship to the people and land that grows their food. Participating in a CSA guarantees that you will be eating fresh, local, and seasonal produce!

  • Full Table Farm is a diversified vegetable farm. This means we grow a ton of different vegetables and some fruits (watermelon and strawberries). We strive to be a regenerative farm, to us this means: reducing agricultural plastic use, following organic standards, dramatically reducing tillage, encouraging pollinators, buying from companies we feel good about and treating our workers like whole people!

We are a community minded farm: We love having people out to enjoy our beautiful space. We donate weekly to the local food bank. Our farm is preserved agricultural land!

Lastly our food is awesome! We don’t mean to brag but we are proud of what we grow. Everything we grow is chosen for excellent flavor. Liam has extremely high standards for quality. We carefully harvest, cool and wash our produce so it will have maximum flavor and great shelf life. Just ask any of our customers and they will tell you about our high quality produce!

  • There are lots of great reasons to join our CSA!

    • You will eat well!

    • It will encourage you to cook and try new things.

    • You will be supporting a small, local, regenerative farm!

    • You will get to know your farmers and the farm where your food is grown.

    • CSA pick up is fun! Bring your dog! Bring your kids! Talk to the farmers, play on our playground, wander through the veggies, enjoy a peaceful stop at the farm each week!

  • Every week your farmers will choose, harvest and wash the best seasonal produce for you. We will attempt to give you a reasonable variety of veggies without too many repeats (but during tomato season expect tomatoes weekly!). The salad CSA will be a bit more repetitive by design. Check out these example shares to get an idea of what to expect.

  • Our full CSA season runs from the 1st week of June through the last week of October. You can also sign up for shorter partial seasons: summer season runs 1st week of June through the last week of August and fall season runs 1st week of September-last week of October.

Every week during the season we will have CSA pick up on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30 at the farm (336 w. Street RD, Kennett Square, PA 19348). You can also pick up your CSA share on Fridays from 3-6pm at the Kennett Square Farmers Market (600 South Broad Street, Kennett Square, PA 19348). If you purchase the delivery add-on your CSA share will be delivered on Wednesday afternoons between 1-5pm.

  • The regular CSA share is best for households that cook regularly and enjoy a wide variety of vegetables. This share costs $30/week. Regular CSA shares will contain the breadth of what we grow on the farm. Check out the “What is in a weekly share?” section above for examples.

The salad CSA share is great for households that eat a salad most days and want to eat seasonally but can’t quite commit to cooking all the different veggies in the regular share. The salad share will have enough greens for 5-8 salads (depending on size of your salad) and also 1-2 add-ons that can be eaten in a salad or raw (think cucumbers, radishes or carrots). Salad shares cost $22/week.

  • You can pick up your CSA share either on Tuesdays from 3:30-5:30 on the farm (336 w. Street RD Kennett Square, PA 19348) or Fridays at the Kennett Square Farmers Market 3-6pm (600 S. Broad St, Kennett Square PA 19348).

If you choose Tuesday on farm pick up we will be set up market style, there will be a list of what’s in your share and you will assemble the share yourself. Tuesday pick up allows for some choice (parsley or cilantro, kale or chard, broccoli or cauliflower, cherry or heirloom tomatoes). Farmers will be at the pick up to help with any questions and talk farming, recipes, veggies. Customers who choose Tuesday pick up are welcome to explore the farm and see what’s growing. If you have kids Tuesday pick up is where its at because we have new playground equipment and lots of room for little ones to run around! Pick up your share and hang out for a bit while your kids run off some energy and enjoy the farm.

If it is better for your schedule you can also pick up Fridays from 3-6pm at the Kennett Square Farmers Market. Our town boasts an awesome farmers market with fresh bread, pasture raised meats, ready to eat meals, ice cream in the summer, hot coffee in the fall and winter, amazing local cheese, several other produce vendors and more! If you pick up Fridays at the market we will pack your share for you so there is less choice than if you choose Tuesday pick up.

  • I don’t know if the CSA share will be too big or too small for your household! It really depends on how much you cook and how many veggies you usually eat. A vegetable loving vegan might eat the whole thing herself. A large family that cooks every night and really enjoys veggies would probably find the share not quite big enough. A small household that eats out frequently might think the share was large. I think a CSA share would be a good size for a 2-4 person household that cooks most but not all meals at home and likes veggies.

The best we can offer you is to say: check out the “what’s in a weekly share” section. We have carefully written it up to try to give you a good idea of what’s in a weekly share. If you are concerned that a share is too big for your household you can find a friend or neighbor and split a share. If you think a share will be too small you are welcome to purchase two or choose the Friday farmers market pick up and supplement your share with additional offerings from the market.

And please email us at FullTableFarmPA@gmail.com if you have specific questions, we would love to help answer them!

  • If you need to skip a week there are two options: we can donate your share to Kennett Area Community Services (they pick up from us weekly) or you can arrange to have someone else pick up your share and either use it themselves or hold it for you.

We cannot reschedule pick-ups. Your farmers are super busy and we need to spend our time in the field not on the computer rescheduling pick ups. If you will be late to Tuesday pick up we can pack your share for you and leave it in our farm stand until 8pm Tuesday night. Friday pick up doesn’t have the same flexibility because we are not on the farm.

  • We understand that circumstances change and emergencies happen but in the middle of the season we have already planted based on how many CSA members we have, so we do not offer refunds.

We are happy for you to find another household to take over your share. We can even reach out to our networks to try to find an interested household to take over your CSA membership. If someone takes over your membership we will refund you for the part of the season you haven’t used.

  • Full Table Farm is not certified organic but we follow organic practices. Among many things this means we: buy organic seed whenever it is available, we only use organic amendments and fertilizers, we only use organic approved pest management products and strategies.

We are on a constant quest to be sustainable, to tread lightly on our land and use the best farming practices possible. We are proud of our farming practices and love talking to customers about them! Please ask us any questions you have.
